Spray Bottles in the Bath ~ Fine motor skills and sensory fun

We love simple yet fun bath time at my house. I love finding new ways to let the kids have a little extra fun during bath time.  Tonight I decided to give them colored and scented water in spray bottles. Perfect for their fine motor skills and a great sensory experience too.

What we used:

spray bottles, color tablets for bath water, and banana, orange, & cherry extract to scent the water.

What we did:

After I had the spray bottles ready I set them out in the tub for my son. Then he spray away in the tub. He loved it!  The spray bottles are great for working his little hand muscles.

We used the suction cup toys to aim at and then spray. A little hand eye coordination too. He did get a little crazy with it but I had to let him know tub only so we could wash it away after.  My son loves cleaning up as much as he likes making a mess.  The color and scent to the water just gave it an extra sensory kick!

We love finding new ways to have fun at bath time.

All kids are different and only you can decide how you let your kids play. And with what materials you let them play with. My children are supervised when playing. Please keep this in mind with any post you read of mine!
