What better way than to start our Easter activities with a sensory bin. Sensory bins are great ways for kids to learn and explore. We needed a few supplies to make a Easter sensory bin so we made a quick trip to our Dollar Tree. I spent $5 to make the kids a sensory bin. I have planned to take these same items and use them in a few different sensory play activities for my boys. I love to get the most for my money. The dollars stores can be your best friend when you want to create a sensory bin.
What we used
Easter grass, plastic eggs ( I found some chicks, bunnies, and carrot eggs), glitter foam cut outs- Easter themed, pom poms, pipe cleaners, a plastic bin, a cooling rack, and strainer.
What to do
Take Easter grass and place in the bottom of your bin. Take the Easter eggs and add them to the grass. I stuffed the pom poms in some of them. I added the foam shapes to the grass. I then placed a few pipe cleaners in the bin. Now I sat the bin, strainer, and cooling rack out for the kids to play.
My boys couldn't wait to get in this bin and play. I was even able to have them clean up their toys with a quickness to be able to play in their bin. They started out looking through it all and by the end they had a huge mess. At least this mess was easy to clean up. The kids even thought it was fun to clean up by "harvesting " as big brother called it the grass and other items from the bin. The little effort to clean up was worth the 30 minutes of fun they had playing. Hope you and your kids can have an Easter sensory bin experience too.

All kids are different and only you can decide how you let your kids play. And with what materials you let them play with. My children are supervised when playing. Please keep this in mind with any post you read of mine!
