I have been going over big brothers name with him.  Helping him learn to recognize it and spell it.  When I saw these wooden beads at the store I thought it would be fun to make both boys name bracelets.  It would be a fun activity for the kids and a great way to go over their names.  They just loved the finished bracelets.

What we did

I found all the letters we needed for the boys names.  I sat the letters out and had my oldest spell his name out.  Once he did that he put them down on the pipe cleaner.  For my toddler, I spelled his name out for him and went over the letters with him as I did this.  Together we put them on his pipe cleaner.

Both boys loved the bracelets and wore them that afternoon. A simple way to help kids learn their names.  Hope you and your kids may enjoy this too.

Please do come and visit us again. We would love to have you back.

All kids are different and only you can decide how you let your kids play. And with what materials you let them play with. My children are supervised when playing. Please keep this in mind with any post you read of mine!

  1. That would be a fun way of learning how to spell names. I like this idea. It is not only fun but this could also a great bonding time with the little ones.
