We love to play in sensory noodles at my house.  Both of my kids 4yr and 1.5yr enjoy playing with sensory noodles.  I am always trying to think of new ways to play with the noodles.  On this day I was trying to think of a new way to dye and scent the noodles from what I have tried in the past.  While looking through the pantry I saw a pack of kool aid and thought I would try that.  I would never know if it worked if I didn't try it.

What I used:  noodles, pan of water, oil, and kool aid packet.

What I did: I brought the water to a boil and added about 2 tsp of oil to it.  This helps keep the noodles from sticking while playing with them.  I then added the kool aid pack to the water.  Last I added the noodles.  I let them boil until soft.  I then removed them and poured in a strainer.

It worked! I now had colored and scented noodles for the kids to play with.  Quick and easy.  I see myself using this method to make more sensory noodles in the future.  I hope it works for you too.

Please do come and visit us again. We would love to have you back.

All kids are different and only you can decide how you let your kids play. And with what materials you let them play with. My children are supervised when playing. Please keep this in mind with any post you read of mine!
