DIY Chalkboard Sign

I used this sign at a cookie swap to set beside my cookies.

All you need is chalk board paint and a serving tray.  I got mine @ the dollar tree it is a fake silver tray.  I have tried both the liquid paint above and the spray paint.  I DO NOT recommend the spray paint.
I added several coats of paint until it was not showing any of the silver.  I did this about 4- 5 times letting each coat dry before adding the next.  Then I let it sit over night before using chalk on it.  This sign has come in handy for me.
