Frogs and Snails and Puppy Dog Tail (FSPDT): Marshmallow Playdough

Marshmallow Playdough

Wow, how much fun would it be to have marshmallow playdough!!  When I came across this idea at  http://thepaisleycupcake.blogspot.com   I just could not wait to try it out with my 3yr.old.  I have to say I didn't think it would work but it did!  It is super messy but a lot of fun to see how the marshmallow and peanut butter combine to make a playdough substance.  It kinda cleans its self off your hands as you keep mashing it up.  It does not make a lot but enough to play with and then taste.

What you need:  big marshmallows(we had left over strawberry marshmallows from valentines so we just used 2 of those), peanut butter, a spoon, wipes, & paper towels just in case.

What to do:  Take 2 normal marshmallows and add a scoop of peanut butter to it.  Now start mashing and kneading and rolling in your hands.  It took about 2 min's before I noticed it change from yucky mess to playdough type consistency.  Then play and taste!
I put peanut butter one one marshmallow and added the second marshmallow on top and started mashing.

This it what it looked like when done

I had to help big brother finish his, he got bored mashing it when he saw mine was ready.  He had to be washed up and then came back and played with my playdough, while I mashed his up.  We added them all together and he played and tasted.  I put it in a Ziploc bag and have it on the counter.  Maybe he can play with it again today before we trash what doesn't get eaten!
