When my oldest was about his age I would save the wipe boxes and fill them with toys or kitchen spoons and bowls for him to play with. Now with my youngest I do the same thing. They have both loved it! What we have right now is a wipe box with Easter eggs and a few toys in it. My son has been playing with this for months. He loves to open the eggs ans close the lid on the wipe box for me to then reopen it for him;-) I did put some Gerber puffs in the eggs once for him and I think he keeps hoping he will find more,lol.
I came across a pin on pinterest and someone had used plastic eggs for something? and remember reading a lot of negative comments on not giving tots these eggs. Everyone gets to feel how they feel. So only use plastic eggs if you feel comfortable with it. You can always put just tot toys in there!
