If you follow my blog you know we love water play. It is one activity that both my boys (3.5yr & 1yr) can enjoy together. I am always trying to find something for them to do while they play. My oldest son has washed his cars outside before and always want to get in my sink to wash the dishes. So I thought I would put the 2 ideas together and let them wash dishes outside this day. Both boys loved grabbing toy dishes for the bucket to go outside to wash. We added the dishes to are water table and put sponges in it too. Then add a little soap if you feel comfortable with that. Now it is time to play or clean.
Here is our play.
The boys ready to play and clean.
What we used:
water table
sponges
play dishes
soap
We added a bucket of "clean water" to rinse the dishes at my sons request.
This is a great sensory play activity. A great way to introduce young kids to life lessons. It promotes sharing and team work. Lets them use problem solving skills to figure out how to wash the dishes.
Water play is always so much fun no matter how simple it is at my house. I do hope you and your family may have some water fun too.
Please do come and visit us again. We would love to have you back.

and our G+ community, All Things Kids.

All kids are different and only you can decide how you let your kids play. And with what materials you let them play with. My children are supervised when playing. Please keep this in mind with any post you read of mine!
