What I used: white cardstock, colored construction paper, glue, scissors, fabric leaves.
My husband cut the paper to make it look like a crown on the top. He also had to cut some off the bottom to keep the crown from being to high on their heads. Now we wrapped around my sons head to get a good fit before we glued it together. Then we left the crown to dry.
Once dry it was time to glue on the fabric leaves.
We let my preschooler help a lot with his crown and he had a lot of fun with daddy making this. For my toddler, daddy and I made his. My oldest just used Elmer's glue to put his leaves on but I used the hot glue gun on my toddlers and went back over my oldest sons crown in a few places with the hot glue gun as well.
Now we have fun fall crowns to play in! As always, we hope you and your kids can have fun with this idea too.
Please do come and visit us again. We would love to have you back.
All kids are different and only you can decide how you let your kids play. And with what materials you let them play with. My children are supervised when playing. Please keep this in mind with any post you read of mine!
