What we used: plastic and foam cups, gauze roll, googly eyes, tape, and glue.
What we did:
with the help of my son we taped down the gauze to the cup. Then we rolled the gauze around the cup. When we got the to end I added a small pieces of tape and glued the end to hold on the gauze. I tried to remove the end pieces of tape at the end but the top pieces I couldn't get off without causing damage to the creation. I left that tape alone.
My son added glue to the back of the googly eyes and placed them on the cups. I let him choose the size of the eyes and the placement. I wanted this to be his creation.
Gluing on the eyes was a lot of fun for him.
What we ended up with. We made 2 large ones for his teacher and teachers aide. The 2 small ones are for his principal and financial director. They all do so much at his school that affects him, we like to treat them all with goodies when we can.
I have a favorite holiday snack mix. It is super easy and super addictive!! I was introduced to this snack years ago when I worked in the medical field. It was brought into our office as a gift and it was loved by all. I have made this snack mix every fall since:-) It never gets old to me. I am sure you can see it is 2 simple ingredients, candy corn and peanuts. After mixing the snack mix together I just placed it in a clear bag and used a twist tie to close the top. I added a little tag to write the names on.
Note: many people have a peanut allergy! When we give out gifts with nuts of any kind we let the recipient know what is in the treat.
My son and I had fun making this easy yet so cute treat cups for his teachers. These cups could be filled with all sorts of goodies. The great part is you can choose. We hope you may have some fun making these as well.
Please do come and visit us again. We would love to have you back.
All kids are different and only you can decide how you let your kids play. And with what materials you let them play with. My children are supervised when playing. Please keep this in mind with any post you read of mine!
