We love trying out our own sensory paint over here. Pudding paint, flour paint, sand paint... So why not try scented glitter paint. This is so easy and all you need are 3 ingredients to make this fun sensory paint. I bet you have everything you need right there at your house.
We mixed it up when we made it and had 2 different textures but either way you make the paint, its only 3 ingredients. I started out to make the soap paint we have used in the tub before but we only had enough white soap to make 2 colors. Yes, this will sound terrible, but I had a bottle of conditioner in my kitchen sink from another activity we did that week. So, I grabbed the conditioner to finish out the paints. I actually loved the conditioner texture more than the soap.
What I used:
muffin tin, glitter, food coloring, white conditioner(white soap for 2 colors). The scent came from the soap and conditioner. One was Dawn body wash and the other was Gillette hair conditioner for men. They both smelled great and after the boys played in the paint they smelled great too.
What I did:
I filled the muffin tins with the conditioner and then dropped in food coloring. I mixed it with a plastic fork. Then I sprinkled the top with glitter.

Note: no we did not paint on paper with these paints. Painting on paper is always fun but we like to mix it up when we can. Link above will take you to see just what we did. However, because I am a nice gal I whipped a bowl of these paints up just to use on a piece of paper to answer all you nice people.
Here is your answer, yes they will work with paper.

All kids are different and only you can decide how you let your kids play. And with what materials you let them play with. My children are supervised when playing. Please keep this in mind with any post you read of mine!

However, as a busy mom i forgot to come back and update the post. I just did. They do work on paper,yay! Now I can see us coming up with even more fun art projects for them. I also have at the top of this post links to our flour and pudding paints. They are wonderful for the youngest of kids. They work great with paper even though we love to use them in the tub:)I hope that helps and that you and your kids can have fun with these paints too. My 2yr really had fun painting with them.
