We love quick and easy projects over here. That is just what the Foam Painted Clover art project is. Quick and easy to set up for the kids and tons of fun for them to create. When I had some time alone with my 3 yr the other afternoon we set this up. Later, big brother 5yr got to paint too. Both of them enjoyed this process art project. And I love how the painted paper turned out.
What we used:
green foam paint
foam clovers and white paper
tray to try and keep the mess in one place.

What we did:
My toddler had both foam sheets and paper to paint. I sat the try out and let him take over.
I had sat the paper under his foam sheets to start. Once he painted his foam clovers he moved on to the paper.
Hands on fun for the kids to explore textures. The paint dries on the clovers and you cannot really see it anymore. This part is just for the process and experience. The part I feel is the most important for growing minds. Sensory art is a great way for kids to learn with creating.
What my 5 yr did:
My oldest child did not want the foam clovers. He got foam paint and white paper. I set him up on a tray as well.
He went to painting his paper. And touching the paints. His hands were a little green the rest of the day but gone by morning.
How we made our foam paints: shaving cream and food coloring. You can try substituting liquid water colors or finger paint to add the color. These may wash off better.
