This week's Preschool Book Club is reading Ten Apples Up On Top!  We love this book.  I was so excited that it came up in the list for the book club to explore.  We did  Ten Apples Up On Top- counting and matching activity  before and my son enjoyed it.  To explore the book today we created an Apple Sensory Bag.

What we used:

apple scented rice

apple erasers

pencil bag

What we did:

We filled the bag with rice and counted out 10 erasers to add to the bag.  You can hot glue the zipper to keep the kids from opening it.

Now we have a fun sensory bag to use for counting and color recognition. This Ten Apples Up On Top sensory bag is perfect to get out while reading one of our favorite books.

My oldest son loves to seek and find the apples inside.  He counts them as he finds them.  My younger son loves to shake the bag up and listen to the noise it makes.

All kids are different and only you can decide how you let your kids play. And with what materials you let them play with. My children are supervised when playing. Please keep this in mind with any post you read of mine!
