Frogs and Snails and Puppy Dog Tail (FSPDT): Star Center piece for Memorial Day or 4th of July

Star Center piece for Memorial Day or 4th of July

When I saw this wand idea for star wands made of paper from Freekidscrafts .com I thought I could make something like this and put in a flower pot and use as a center piece decoration.  So with my gears rolling here is what we came up with.

Star Center piece for memorial Day or 4th of July

What you need:

Paper stars (I had left over stars from our star banner), flower pot(I had this one from Easter), I used kabob skewers to stick the stars in the pot, flower foam, Easter grass-I had left over, markers ( and any other decoration you want to put on star.  We had red glitter glue and little stars we used.  And a hot glue gun.

What to do:

take your stars and let the kids decorate them. Then glue them to the stick.  Put your flower foam in the pot and cover with grass.  Take the sticks with the stars and stick them down in the foam.  Now you are finished.  My son has taken this and put it on top of his play kitchen as his decorations.  So that is where it will stay.

This craft is great for memorial day or 4th of July.  We put ours out in may and left it out to carry us over to 4th of July:-)  Hope you can share in some craft fun with your kids too.  Happy holidays to all.

Please do come and visit us again. We would love to have you back.

All kids are different and only you can decide how you let your kids play. And with what materials you let them play with. My children are supervised when playing. Please keep this in mind with any post you read of mine!
