After reviewing the book The Garden Classroom: 52 gardening activities for kids I was eager to try one of Cathy's fun activities with the boys. The whole book is packed full of wonderful ideas. This idea of painting flowers with a flower was perfect. We just happened to have fresh flowers in the house this week. So painting flowers is what we did and it was a great activity for both my toddler and preschooler.

All kids are different and only you can decide how you let your kids play. And with what materials you let them play with. My children are supervised when playing. Please keep this in mind with any post you read of mine!
